Pretty Packaging: Napkin Gift Bag

I was at a loss on how to package the napkins. I almost bought pricey boxes from Paper Source before I remembered my favorite packaging trick: the fabric drawstring bag!

Back to Betz White's bag tutorial. I chose a scrap of fabric from my stash in white to keep with my black and white theme. This fabric has a white on white leaf pattern, so it's a bit more interesting. I used a piece of thick black grosgrain ribbon as the drawstring.

Ignore the wrinkles, which I didn't see until I took this photo. The final product was ironed before mailing.

I embroidered their initials and wedding date on the front of the bag.

The back has the PrettyLittleMess Product tag.

I placed the napkins, packaged with their gift tags, in the bag. The bag was drawn shut and tied with a big bow.

I waited until after I received the thank you note from the newlyweds to publish the photos. From the enthusiastic note I received, I'd like to think that these little white thingies are being put to good use.
