Pretty Packaging: Dishtowels

This was another one of my "zero dollar" projects, the ones that cost no money, just my time. And the gift wrapping was no exception.

The box I used is my new favorite gift box, the empty kraft boxes that house the document tabs we use at my office. One day about a dozen boxes were sitting by the trash can in office services. I asked if I could take them. Now half a dozen boxes are stored under my desk.

Before they were safely folded and placed in the box, I wrapped some brown tissue paper around them. This is actually reused tissue paper from a Piperlime shipment. I couldn't throw away pristine tissue paper! I kept the paper closed with an aqua sticker from the Martha Stewart Crafts line.

Another Martha sticker, one that was actually meant to be a food or recipe label, was used as a gift tag and covered a spot where someone had wrote on the otherwise clean box. All these stickers come in so handy and were a gift from the Boyfriend. I knew I found "the one" when he went to Michaels and bought me craft supplies for an anniversary gift one year.

Trying to keep it green, I just tied a piece of coordinating ribbon from my stash around the box for decoration and wrapping. This ribbon was actually leftover from Leigh Ann's wedding almost two years ago!

Here is a shot of the presents on the table at the bridal shower. The bride's color was aqua and the theme was "A Summer Picnic" therefore the gingham paper and red accents.
