Health care Insurance
Dental Insurance
People my age work there
An IT Department
An HR Department
An Office Services Department (copies, faxes, office supplies)
Assistants work in teams
Proper training
Within walking distance of the apartment
Within walking distance of the Boyfriend's Office
Next door to the White House
*This is not a weekly occurrence.
I had a job interview at another law firm two days before this firm. The person I interviewed with said that they don't socialize with others in the building. For example, there was going to be a building wide ice cream social, but that law firm would not be participating. I thought, "I can't work in an environment like this.". Then they wanted:
an official transcript
an official SAT score (WTF? I took that 7 years ago)
writing samples
references
GUESS WHAT!? I got a better job, that didn't ask for any of those documents, AND I GOT TO GO TO THE ICE CREAM SOCIAL!
I've really never felt so lucky. And grateful.
