Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

Today is my grandfather's 91st birthday. They had a small get together on Sunday to celebrate, and my dad got to talk to his family.

Last night, Mum mentioned how I haven't been there in a while. I think the last time I was in O.C. was Summer of 2004, but it might have been Summer 2003. I know I had to ask off from my summer job to go one year, but I don't remember the other year. Perhaps we went both Summer '03 and '04? Katie found some pictures as we were archiving the family computer's hard drive this pas weekend. I know they all went the Summer of 2006 without me because I was in Austin. That time it was a road trip.

The point to this is, if I had been back anytime soon I would have had a decent picture to post of Grandpa on his birthday. But I don't because I choose to spend my travel funds on trips to Connecticut. Speaking of Connecticut, while my Dad was on the phone with one of his sisters, something was said about the Boyfriend becoming the Husband. My response: Tell them I'll send an invitation.

Family. You love them!

In other Oil City news, CBS Evening News was in the city (actually Plummer) filming a segment on independent oil producers that features my Grammie's former Avon Lady's brother. It is expected to air on Friday.
